Kidstar (2022)

Triton's debut EP captures youth in a cinematic indie-rock/synthpop experience. Created in Triton's junior year of high school, Kidstar tells tales of teenage angst, love, and nostalgia through compelling lyric writing, eloquent, dreamy guitar chords and larger-than-life synths. The music and its surrounding visuals were made using free equipment such as GarageBand & Microsoft Paint to showcase the true power of DIY, putting Triton on the map in the Vancouver indie scene.

Standout tracks include lead single Sweet 16 & album opener Overachiever, two songs which tell stories of facing trauma as an adolescent through catchy hooks, loud drums and Triton's signature combination of guitars and synths. The project's second single Everything is a dynamic love ballad that captures the overwhelming cacophony of emotions that surround teenage life and romance to make the listener truly feel everything.

So Far, So Good (2023)

So Far, So Good follows on the path of Kidstar, this time taking a different angle thematically and sonically, showcasing Triton's shoegaze & grunge influences to speak on more intrinsic, existential themes. Standout tracks include singles Got My Neck & Smiles There's Cameras, both massive, stunning pieces of shoegaze fusion, recorded on amateur equipment in Triton's senior year of high school. The project reached venues and airwaves across Canada, blowing speakers nationwide.

“Raspy guitar, a stylistically dynamic voice, and clever allusions are what make Triton’s music stand out. His songs craft vivid moods within the brain: grainy pictures, bus rides home at night pretending you’re a character in a film, speedwalking across campus, or overthinking in your bedroom. Regardless of the image, Triton has something for you.”

Hell, Michigan (2025)

Triton's sound comes into its own with Hell, Michigan. The genre-defying combination of heavy grunge guitars, hyperpop textures, and groove-heavy rhythm guides listeners through an immersive journey of existentialism surrounding the mid-section between youth and adulthood. Standout tracks include Miles On It, a heavy ballad detailing the struggles of substance abuse, 27 Club, a hyperpop-fusion tune that faces existentialism and death, and the title track Hell, Michigan which encapsulates the lost, ontological themes of the album in a hardcore anthem.

“Hell, Michigan is a bold and beautiful showcase of what self-produced music can sound like in 2025—raw, experimental, emotional, and genre-defiant. Triton has crafted an EP that not only honors the genres it draws from but pushes them forward with a distinct and modern edge.” – Ava Surbek for Adore Magazine
